Letters mingle souls

launch new product new shop

Sir, more than kisses, letters mingle souls,
-John Donne, "To Sir Henry Watton"

It's kind of funny to live in a world where you could know someone for years and never know their handwriting. I used to write postcards obsessively back in the day, but in the past few years, I've noticed that—save a few I'd write on my holidays—I'd all but stopped sending postcards altogether.

If there's one good thing that has come out of this corona madness, it's realizing, "Oh hey, I actually have time to write postcards again." That thought kind of got the ball rolling—I thought about how postcards could bring back a little analog connection back into our heavily digital lives. Writing and receiving postcards isn't going to save the world, but it will connect people in a way digital media never could, and that could be a pretty awesome thing (says the girl talking to you via an online shop).

Anyway, one thing led to another, and I dragged my husband Gregor and some illustrator friends from university to embark on an experimental online-shop-journey. Basically, I wrote my friends last week, like "Hey, do you want to design postcards together and sell them?" and they all wrote back screaming "HELL YEAH!" (pretty much verbatim), and so a week and a half later, we have a flippin' sweet 7-piece postcard set designed by these six friends and myself. And it's a really nice feeling to work on something together again.

This is the only product we have here right now, but if things go well, we'll keep adding more stuff to the shop.

So yes, go buy our postcards and spread some analog love!
